Day 020.

My little piglet is growing fast. It seems like yesterday, he was 6.2 1/2lbs, 19 inches and new to this world. Now, he's 18.12 pounds, 28 1/2 inches and almost walking and I just don't know where the time has gone. I love him with all of my heart.

And, it's very faint... But, can you see the rainbow? My brother called me right after I posted and told me there was a rainbow outside. I tried my hardest to capture it but once I got outside, it was fading away into the sky.

Day 013.

This isn't a favorite photo of Dallas and I but I just LOVE how he is all smiles. So, I thought I'd share it. I'm really not sure which one I like better so I'm going to share all three: colored, black & white and sepia.

I love this little guy more than anything in this entire world.
More than anything.

Day 012.

Creamy Chicken Potato Soup

You need:
1 medium onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
3 cups reduced-sodium chicken broth
1 pound potatoes, (about 4), cut into bite size pieces
1 1/2 cups diced cooked chicken breast, (about 4)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
1 cup reduced-fat evaporated milk
(If desired) 1 teaspoon minced fresh parsley
(If desired) 1 teaspoon minced chives
Instead of the parsley and chives, I top mine off with shredded cheddar cheese and real bacon bits.

In a large saucepan, saute onion in butter until tender. Stir in broth and potatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes or until potatoes are tender. Stir in the chicken, salt and pepper.

Combine flour and milk until smooth; stir into saucepan. Add evaporated milk. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Sprinkle with your desired toppings.

This is one of my favorites!

Day 007.

Day 006.

*One day late again.* ;)

Yard sales are exhausting. I was just messing around with my camera again last minute last night because I didn't get it out all day, when I should have to show you all my yard sale.

I sold over $170! But, I could have doubled that. My prices on my baby clothes are waaay too cheap but I just want them GONE. And, I'm helping a lot of people save money :).

Anyway. Here's me and my soon to be husband! (EEK! 17 more days! :D.)

Day 005.

*Sorry, I'm a day late.*

I spent all day yesterday and the day before organizing through EVERYTHING I had in a pile in our basement for a yard sale "someday." Well, that yard sale is today! I had 2 days to get EVERYTHING ready. (I'll take a photo once it's all up.)

So, I didn't have time to take my camera out.

But, last night my little brother was helping me sort through and price the rest of the baby girl clothes that I have. (For those of you who don't know, Dallas was meant to be an "Aarika." Up until the day he was born! We had purple and pink EVERYTHING. Including painted walls.)

He came across this sweater and I threw it in with the rest of the sweaters:

The other sweaters are maybe $.50 each and he was ranting and raving about how much I would get out of this sweater, that I would atleast get a buck out of it. Going on and on and on. So, I tagged it for a buck to see if anyone loves it as much as he does ;).

I think it's an adorable sweater! Going through all of my girl stuff made me a little upset. I mean, I would not trade the moment Dallas was born for ANYTHING. It was the best feeling/surprise/moment of my entire life! But, we were so excited about a little girl and well, they have cuter clothes! ;). Hehe.

Have a good day. Hopefully I have a good yard sale! :D

Day 004.

I'm going to share two photos with you today.
First, my orange male cat, Twinky, always lays on our cable box. Well, our new fur baby, Pumpkin (also an orange male), decided to join him.

Lunch time with Dallas. He was amused by his Uncle Sterling and I just snapped away.

I think he shows those teefers off on purpose ;).

Day 003. | South Eastern Ohio Children Photographer

There is something about this shot that I just love. Maybe it's her chunky legs or the dirt under her foot. I think it's adorable.
The rest of these shots from my photo shoot today will be up on my website shortly. Don't worry, I will let you know when they're up!

Day 002.

Dallas slept until nine this morning (shocker!) and while he slept in, I cleaned the livingroom, came into the office and checked my stuff, laid back down for a minute and showered. Before I left the office, I grabbed my camera or else I would have forgotten all about taking a photo until later. I was glad that I grabbed it when I did because after Dallas was changed, he and Tiny (our Bernese Mountain Dog) were playing together. Dallas LOVES Tiny - his name is ironic on purpose ;). This was a snapshot and I was very proud that I actually got them both in the picture. Look how much smaller Dallas is than Tiny. He is 5 days younger than Dallas!

Kevin and I had my niece and nephew today, also. He decided to take a few shots while we were outside playing with bubbles. This is his favorite that he captured of Dallas:

My niece and nephew were blowing bubbles and so Dallas was waiting for more to come his way. He was loving it!

Kevin was never really into taking photos until he got with me, of course. All I had was my P&S and then I ordered my Canon a few months after he moved to Ohio with me. He became interested in experiencing with it. He's actually really good!

I'll try getting him to take one photo every day as well to go along with us. This would be very fun to do together to see our different views of our little boy.

I have a photo shoot tomorrow with a little girl named Kristalyn. She is going to pose with Dallas as a "baby couple." And, I'll probably snap a few shots of her and her wonderful mother, Kendra. Also, another shoot with a girl named Courtney Endly. You'll love her. So, I'm sure I'll share some once they're all ready to be published.

Day 001.

*It's the first day of our 365 project. I wanted to focus on what makes me the happiest.*

So, go ahead and ask me what makes me the happiest. What makes me put a smile on my face, no matter what?

I'll pull this picture out of my wallet and say... These two.
